Historically Used In an Exclusive Sense, This Blog Aims to Explore What God's Up To Inside & Outside the Institutional Church

Sorry, I Was Thinking About Something Else…

A recent study in Science about daydreaming utilizing an iPhone app, found that people’s minds may wander anywhere from 30%  to 65% of the time – which means that with an average of 47% most of the people your talking to have checked out elsewhere for awhile. An odd conclusion from the study was that the more one’s mind wandered the more evidence of  unhappiness – one researcher reporting  that “we see evidence for mind-wandering causing unhappiness, but no evidence for unhappiness causing mind-wandering.” So it seems that there is a benefit to staying in the now…and with that to ponder I will now return to daydreaming.
